The race is on.
The first of several Capital Improvements Program (CIP) projects vying for funding during this year’s budget talks came before the CIP committee Thursday night.
The hearing covered four phase II applications for Ice Rink improvements. Those include adding a cover to the rink, demolishing the repurposed Zamboni garage to build a new locker room facility, adding 34 parking spaces and blocking parking on West Road and the installation of a lift station and force main to connect to existing county sewer infrastructure.
The phase I study, budgeted at $240,000, was conducted by consultants Huitt-Zollars, Inc.
Associate Jarrod Likar presented the design options.
